Our client is a family owned company, helping companies  and government agencies with their transportation and surface maintenance challenges. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead their sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to manage accounts effectively. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, fostering client relationships, and enhancing our market presence.

This is a role based in Charlotte, North Carolina supporting an outside sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Manage key accounts and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials that align with sales objectives.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.

Experience

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong background in account management and business development.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.

Compensation:
$80,000 – $90,000 base, $150 OTE
