Our client, a fast growing Series A fintech company who's leadership have founded and worked at some of the most impressive names within B2B tech, is hiring for a Product Design Lead to join their team. The company uses AI to power risk decisioning for financial institutions to prevent fraud, manage credit risk and ensure compliance. The Product Design Lead will start as an individual contributor before building out a team, and should be comfortable leading the design for multiple aspects of the product and developing and improving the overall user experience. This person will work closely with product and engineering teams as well as leadership, so an ability to understand the business holistically and the impact of product design on the company's growth will be important for this role.
This is a fully remote role.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and user experience for significant parts of our client's product through to launch.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and translate them into design solutions.
- Drive the development of design concepts, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on designs based on user insights.
- Help build and maintain our design system and advocate for design solutions that scale designs from discovery through delivery, leveraging the right tools at the right moments to make the most significant impact.
- Be comfortable with breaking down ambiguous problems, ruthlessly prioritizing the highest impact work, and aligning a cross-functional team around it
- Help build and shape the design culture, processes, and use of tools.
Requirements
- Experience within a high growth startup environment
- Minimum 6+ years of professional work experience in an individual contributor role as a product designer.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user interface design, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe (nice to have)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering user feedback.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of software engineering workflows and principles is encouraged.
Salary: $160-210k depending on experience.
