Our client, a dynamic financial and technology services firm is hiring for Chief Technology Officer (CTO). We are seeking an innovative and strategic leader with a proven track record in managing large technical teams and driving technological advancements. Responsibilities:

1. Management Experience:

  • Leadership: Over 10 years of experience managing technical teams of 50+ members, including:
    • Software development teams for both print and electronic media.
    • Network infrastructure teams 
    • Offshore development teams 
    • Quality Assurance teams 
  • Strategic Planning: Expertise in long-term planning and capacity building to scale operations, meet growing client demands, cross-train staff for multi-disciplinary competencies, streamline operations, and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement benchmarking criteria and utilize metrics to continuously enhance staff competency. Establish a merit-based system for promotions, raises, and bonuses.
  • Team Cohesion: Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, job satisfaction, career growth, and continuous learning.
  • Human Resources: Proficient in employee onboarding/offboarding, creating and enforcing SOPs, disciplinary procedures, conflict mediation, and performance evaluations.
  • Training and Development: Establish a comprehensive training curriculum to enhance technical competency and knowledge retention.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work effectively with other department directors, providing technical support and recommendations to foster inter-departmental coordination.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, beyond just banks and credit unions, to drive growth and innovation.

2. Fiscal Management:

  • Budget Management: Over 10 years of experience managing budgets of $3 million+.

3. Project Management:

  • Project Implementation: Proven success in implementing complex technical projects over $2 million, on time and within budget.

4. Technical Expertise:

  • Linux Applications: Extensive experience with Linux-based systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Mongo.
  • Application Migration: Experience in converting and standardizing legacy code for faster deployment; knowledge of Isis-Papyrus or similar tools is a plus.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in managing and consolidating databases, with extensive knowledge of Oracle and Postgres.
  • Cybersecurity: Experience in DR migration to the cloud and establishing BCP.
  • Windows Administration: Expertise in large-scale migrations to MS Office 365 and MS Windows administration.

Salary: 225-350K
