Our professional services client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced accountant with a strong background in HR to join the finance team. This position will be responsible for Quickbooks review, payroll, benefit administration, payroll taxes, and onboarding/offboarding. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll – Publish payroll activity and maintain supplemental payroll detail, run payroll on semimonthly basis
  • Financial Reports – Prepare monthly financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger systems.
  • Payroll Tax – Coordinate payroll tax filing and payments through Intuit Workforce.
  • Expensify Management – Review and process expense reports through Expensify for reimbursement.
  • Commission – Coordinate commission and sales reports.
  • Provide additional project support to the Director of Finance.
  • Executive Dashboard – Prepare monthly executive scorecard reports for four pillars of the organization, along with insights and suggestions for the Executive Committee to review.
  • Maintain employee records.
  • Compliance – Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local agencies for internal policies and practices.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding – Successfully onboard and offboard personnel, as well as manage administration of subscriptions and access.
  • Benefits Administration – Oversee employee benefits, including enrollment, renewals, and compliance.
  • Process Optimization – Identify efficiency improvements in payroll, expense management, and onboarding.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Accounting and 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources..
  • Experience with payroll, payroll taxes and commission management.
  • Strong experience in benefit administration.
  • Familiar with Monday.com (CRM), Quickbook Online and Expensify.
  • Able to generate, read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
  • Be an excellent communicator in written and verbal form; clear, concise, and with the ability to communicate with audiences at the most senior levels.
