Kuberenetes, IaC, CaC and general infrastructure and systems, such as load balancers, proxies, DNS, networking, hybrid, and storage. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SaaS infrastructure / cloud platforms while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Responsibilities:
1. SaaS Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
– Design and implement SaaS/cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
– Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, documentation, and standard operating procedures for Linux and/or SaaS systems.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure
seamless integration with other technologies.
2. System Administration and Support:
– Provide expert-level support for SaaS systems, including troubleshooting complex
issues, performance optimization, and system tuning.
– Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend appropriate
solutions.
– Implement security best practices, including user management, access control, and system hardening.
– Ensure timely patching and updates of SaaS systems, following established change management processes.
3. Automation and Configuration Management:
– Utilize various tools, such as Data Dog, Gitlab, Jira, etc., to automate deployment,
configuration, and management of SaaS infrastructure.
– Develop and maintain various playbooks, templates, and configurations for provisioning and managing resources.
– Continuously improve automation workflows to streamline processes and increase
efficiency.
4. Linux Server Virtualization:
– Manage VMware-based virtualized environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
– Provision and maintain virtual machines, templates, and snapshots.
– Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues related to
virtualization.
5. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and expertise on Linux-related matters.
– Share knowledge and mentor junior team members, promoting professional growth and development.
– Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Linux technologies,
attending conferences and training sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
– Extensive experience as cloud-platform administrator or engineer, with a focus on AWS, Azure,GCP and general infrastructure such as load balancers, proxies, DNS, networking, hybrid and
storage
– Extensive experience as a Linux Administrator or Engineer, with a focus on Ansible, Terraform Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware, and Packer.
– Strong knowledge of cloud-platform and/or Linux operating systems, including system administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.
– Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
– Solid understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
– Experience in designing and implementing Linux-based infrastructure solutions, considering scalability, reliability, and performance.
– Knowledge of scripting languages like Java, Javascript, C, C++, PHP, Linux shell, Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and scripting tasks.
– Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g.,Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RHCE, VCP, LPIC, or HashiCorp
– Certified: Terraform Associate is desirable.
