Director of Events Marketing

Our client is leading business travel platform that helps companies manage bookings for hotels, flights, and car rentals. It streamlines the travel process for businesses, especially small- and mid-sized companies.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Take a bird's eye view of all external event participation across Engine, providing guidance and support to other departments and helping to refine processes that deliver results.

  • Ensure event materials align with brand voice, go-to-market messages, and timely campaigns.

  • Partner with Social Media Manager to support effective social media presence around events.

  • Manage coordination and approval of third-party event participation across our employee base, i.e. vendor and partner webinars.

  • Event Strategy:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with business objectives.

    • Lead flow strategy, including

      • Pre/post-event registration lists

      • Pre/post event sequence

      • Swag management

      • Event collateral

      • Marketing strategy (PR, social media, and marketing promotion)

    • Formulate process and strategy for event lead scoring 

    • Track and analyze event ROI, providing data-driven insights to inform future strategies

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Contribute and collaborate with the Creative Team on Event activations, experiences, branding, etc.

    • Collaborate closely with the sales/partnership teams to vet event commitments

    • Prepare and present event DMXs and post-mortem event reviews

  • Event Logistics:

    • Manage all event logistics, planning, and coordination from conception to execution

    • Represent the company at events, ensuring execution of booth/brand activations, embodying our brand values, and fostering key relationships

    • Plan and manage the annual company Summit event:

      • Vendor management and coordination

      • Develop run of show, content strategy, agenda, etc.

      • Manage the budget, room blocks, and event space agreements

      • Lead and manage RFP process for production partners

Here’s what they are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

  • At least 7 years of experience in events marketing, along with B2B software experience.

  • Proven track record in managing events for B2B companies.

  • Data-driven approach to measuring event success and ROI, and reporting on that to drive awareness and support for future plans.

  • Experience in managing large events budget and working with procurement to facilitate necessary costs and contracts.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Remote Opportunities:

This role is eligible for remote work within the U.S.

Compensation:

  • $150,000 – $175,000, depending on experience
