A wonderful client of ours in the luxury furnisher industry is looking for a Sales Director to come in a hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:
- Generate sales within territory from new and existing customers with goal of increasing sales volume.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Build and maintain strong and long lasting customer relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Identify, target, and close new accounts to maximize sales volume.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Research and recommend new channels to target with the intent to close new accounts.
- Strategically foster an environment to maximize sales volume with existing accounts.
- Provide executive management team with weekly status update; number of prospect, dollar amount in pipeline for open quotes, pending sales orders et al.
- Attend and participate in multiple domestic and possibly international trade shows as needed.
- Collaboratively work with team members and management to support and implement sales initiatives.
- Manage assigned inside sales representatives through open communication, constructive feedback and help assist with escalated issues as needed.
- Execute and monitor the outbound call protocol to engage prospects and keep brand top of mind and exemplary in customer service.
- Effectively provide and maintain communication with all accounts in database.
- Monitor and manage client orders in need of special attention: VIP clients, Shipment Delays, Large Orders. Proactively communicate proposed resolution to Principals.
- Report daily sales figures to Principals.
- Provides support / mentorship to team members to resolve customer issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or AA preferred.
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets, preferably in the furniture, hospitality, or other luxury brand industries.
- Experience as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales director.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business development.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to motivate and encourage others.
Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000
